JOSPICE'S MUSIC MARATHON
FRIDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2013
ST. FAITH'S CHURCH, WATERLOO
Jospice is a charity which is very close to the heart of St. Edmunds's choir. St. Joseph's Hospice (Jospice) was founded by Fr. Francis O'Leary, a missionary priest, St Joseph's Hospice (Jospice) began in South America and Pakistan in the 1960's. In 1974 the UK Jospice opened in Thornton, near Crosby. It has been a great support to many friends and family of the choir, and in return we have raised money for their 40th anniversary appeal through our Songs from the Silver Screen concert, and will continue this in our Christmas Concert.
Before our Christmas concert, we will be performing at the Jospice Music Marathon at St. Faith's, Waterloo at 9:30pm approximately. Here, we will be singing some of the repertoire from the Songs from the Silver Screen concert.
However, before the Music Marathon begin, our Director of Music, Martin O'Boyle ran the Chester Marathon, in aid of Jospice. Currently, he has raised over £1,000! This WAS his first marathon and he began training in January. If you'd like to sponsor him, please visit http://www.justgiving.com/martinoboyle
